Chartered Counselling Psychologist

A calm, confidential space to make sense of things

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist based in Cuffley (Hertfordshire) and Enfield.  I offer short and long-term therapy for adults and adolescents. In-person sessions take place at my Enfield office, with online and telephone appointments available to clients anywhere.

Therapy always starts with a genuine human connection. Before any technique or clinical framework, it is simply one person meeting another, somewhere you can feel truly seen and understood.

Dr Niki Andreou, chartered counselling psychologist

Hello, I'm Dr Andreou

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and finding the right space to clarify your thoughts is the first step toward lasting change. Within My Private Therapy, I offer a safe, confidential and compassionate space for adults and adolescents navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

As an integrative therapist, I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, psychodynamic exploration and person-centred models, tailoring our work entirely to your needs, your pace and the difficulties you bring.

I work in both English and Greek, so you are welcome to speak in whichever language feels most natural to you.

Couples and families

With teenagers, I am deeply passionate about supporting anxiety, depression, bullying, family difficulties, OCD, bereavement and self-esteem. Where it feels helpful, I welcome family members into sessions to build understanding and strengthen support at home.

"Change the way you see things and the things you see will change."

Sometimes the most difficult and painful times in our lives are essential to spur on a catalyst for change. Personal therapy can encourage growth, invite a deeper awareness of self, promote healing and allow us to see life from a more hopeful perspective.

Therapy in Enfield, Cuffley and North London

A few practical questions people often ask before getting in touch, about where we would meet, travelling from Hertfordshire, and how sessions work.

Where do in-person sessions take place?
In-person therapy is held at the Keats Practice, 18A London Road, Enfield, Greater London, EN2 6EB. It sits a short walk from Enfield Chase and Enfield Town stations, with street parking nearby and the consulting room is quiet and private. Alternatively, I can see some in-person clients in my Cuffley office however this availability is limited.
Do you see clients from Cuffley and Hertfordshire?
Yes. My Enfield office is roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive from Cuffley, Goffs Oak and Potters Bar, and Cuffley station is a few stops from Enfield Chase on the same line. If you would rather not travel, online and telephone sessions are available wherever you live.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is needed. You are welcome to contact me directly and we can arrange an introductory assessment to talk through what has brought you here.
How do online sessions work?
Online sessions run by secure video call, or by telephone if you prefer. They last the same 50 minutes as in-person work and many people find it easier to speak openly from somewhere familiar.

Taking the first step

We begin with a 50-minute assessment, in person or online, at a reduced fee of £70. It is a chance to talk about what has brought you here and to see whether we feel like a good fit, with no obligation to continue.
